The Harmonious Flow

The definition of the word Harmony is “a pleasing combination of elements in a whole.” When we think of the word harmony we often relate it to music and singing. This gives us a great example of how things flow together when they are in harmony. Several people in the music arena cringe at the thought of someone hitting the wrong note in a song or the wrong key on a piano or organ. This is because it interrupts the intended flow of the selected song.

This same principle applies to our life and our universe. I was taught that God created the earth and man within a seven day time frame. But with each of God’s creations although are separate they should live and flow together. There have been several catastrophic events that have seemed to upset the flow of our lives as humans on this earth. Many people are preaching that it means “the Lord is soon to come.” I however, am not in agreement with that statement.

Several weeks ago I read a book that emphasized how we were all to live together on this earth, but as humans we treat the earth as if it is ours to conquer and if we are the only species on it (Ishmael, Daniel Quinn). We beat it, fight on it, dig in it, and kill its trees and such. Thus, we treat this earth as if it is our adversary. As with any other adversary, it will eventually fight back. Now if we examine each creation, it has the ability to heal itself. Take our bodies for example, if you cut yourself that wound heals up on its own. This would mean that all of our living habits have knocked this earth out of whack. We have deeply cut it and continue to do so. As a result, all of the earthquakes and tsunamis may actually be the earth’s way of fighting back and healing itself.

The only issue is we as a people have not realized that we are causing this imbalance mainly because our individual lives are off balance. We eat all kinds of food and do all types of activities that go against the flow of our lives. We have grown so accustomed to this dysfunction and imbalance that we never notice it until our bodies began to fight back and our emotions are frazzled. When our lives are off balance it ruins relationships, can hinder your destiny, it can even disrupt your finances. Anytime your life seems chaotic… you have upset the natural flow. My challenge to you this week is that you strive to live within the flow of life.

Quote for the week:

“If your actions seem to have the possibility of a negative outcome whether it is short or long term, it is against the flow within your life.” J. Martin

I agree with Windy's statement. People who are believers in the words of our Bibiles; often try to predict the coming of our Lord. However, we have to keep a open mind to the fact that our Lord never tells us about the storms we might endor. Therefore, when he comes again there will be a storm but, the beautiful thing our Lord dose is supply us with the power to over come life hardships.
